Ballestar done some illustrations impeccable, showing his great technique and skill in the illustration. Decameron is the highlights of the Italian writer of the FOURTEENTH century, Giovanni Boccaccio. Essential work in the history of literature, due to the realism of the context in which it takes the main action and most of the stories, the dialogues and the quality of his prose.

 

 

The book opens with a description of the plague that ravaged Florence in 1348, to escape from this contagion, seven ladies and three gentlemen retreat for ten days to a country house. To be entertained, have fun stories, pretending to forget the suffering and death that surround them. Vicenç Ballestar is known for his stint as the illustrator of numerous novels, magazines and stories.
