Tsuguharu Foujita (Tokyo, 1886 – Zurich, 1968)

Japanese-born French painter and a leading figure of the School of Paris. Renowned for combining Japanese artistic traditions with Western modernism, his work is celebrated for its refined line, delicate surfaces and luminous palette. Foujita achieved international recognition in the 1920s and 1930s and remains one of the most important cultural bridges between Eastern and Western art.
