The leaf has a decoration to base of vegetal elements, and a handle of wood and brass. The sheath of the dagger features a background of skin over a soul of wood, and decorated with bands of smooth brass-gold tone.

This type of weapon is called a “flyssa”, whether it's a sword and a dagger. It is a traditional weapon of an ethnic berber call Village Kabyle, whose origin is situated in the mountains of Kabylia, in northwest Algeria. Their majority religion is Islam, and its traditional economy is based on forestry and handicraft, agriculture and the grazing of mountain giving way to local industry.
