The gramophone was the first system of sound recording and playback that you used the flat disk, unlike the phonograph that recorded on cylinders.

Also, it was the most common device for playing recorded sound from the 1890s until the end of the 1980s. It was patented by Emile Berliner

The gramophone of Berliner, as are record players developed later, consists of a turntable, an arm, a needle or a pick and an amplifier. The traction is performed manually by using the crank located on the outside.
