Jaume Mercadé i Queralt (Valls (Tarragona), 1887 - Barcelona, 1967) was a painter and goldsmith Spanish. Disciple Francesc d Assís Galí, from 1919 he was professor of jewelry and metalwork in the School of Arts and Crafts of the Commonwealth. He made his first individual exhibition at the Galeries Laietanes of Barcelona (1916). Started in fauvism, after he received the influence of novecentismo. His work stands out for the serenity and balance, within a timid modernity
