Sunbeam was a brand registered by John Marston Co. Ltd of Wolverhampton, England , in 1888. The company reached bicycles, motorcycles and cars after the end of the NINETEENTH century until around the year 1936, and applies to the brand of the three forms of transport. The company also manufactured 647 aircraft during the Second World War. The company went bankrupt in 1935 and was acquired by the Rootes Group , which continued to use the brand Sunbeam.
John Marston was apprenticed in the Works Jeddo of Wolverhampton as a japanner (metal lacquerer). In 1859, at the age of 23 years, purchased two manufacturers of tin existing and create on your own, John Marston Marston Co. Ltd. he was an avid cyclist , and in 1877 created the Factory Cycle Sunbeamland, the production of bicycles known as Translation: rays of the sun. Between 1899 and 1901 the company also produced a number of cars experimental, but none of them was offered on the market.
In 1905, the Sunbeam motor Car Company Ltd was formed separate from the rest of the company John Marston, who kept the motorcycles Sunbeam and bicycles.
