The ES2 was a motorcycle Norton for the first time in 1927. It was a single long race that started as a sport bike, but in all his long life was passed slowly by most powerful models.
Remained popular due to its reliability and ease of maintenance, as well as the traditional design. From 1947 the ES2 had an innovative fork hydraulic damping telescopic front and the piston stroke developed rear suspension. From 1953 it had a single down tube swing-arm of the box and increased its power to the Rex McCandless Featherbed frame in 1959 and featured an improved gear box AMC, the cylinder head overhauled, modernised alternator and a front brake 8-inch with buckets full width. For 1961 the bike was further improved with the framework Slimline with stringers of the upper frame half closed and a deposit is thinnest. The last Norton ES2 was produced in 1964.
