Pocket watch circa.1930 in sterling silver worked. Machinery: Semicatalino.
Watch in Spain called, catalino. In English, "verge" and in French "montre a coq". "Verge" is the escape that uses paddles and a catherine wheel and "coq" is the galluza.
Its origin is French, or with much greater security (because of the large amount that are manufactured swiss. The key is in the galluza that which protects the steering wheel. In French, it has that oval while in the English it is round and larger, because the wheel is larger also. Machinery English are "normally" bigger than the swiss. If you fixed that galluza this bolted to the two sides while in English has only one point of support.
In the English string is given at the back (you have to remove the double box or chichonera) although I also have some verge boxed consular (in which the machine swings to the outside by squeezing the pestañan this to six).
Another country in which manufactured many watches with exhaust catalino is the Netherlands.
The key to distinguish the Dutch from the English and French-francs is, that in the Dutch, the galluza is round and is subject to two points through a few small bridges. Tend to be small (size swiss-French) that the English.
Its use is most appropriate should be to name the clocks with English side lever (lever) and cube snail (fusee). Semicatalino, (unlike catalino) would mean that you have fusee (snail) and cube for the string, but does not have the escape of catherine wheel (which takes its name from the element of torture employed in the martyrdom of Saint Catherine).
