Couple of sprats of naval artillery. Toledo. The NINETEENTH century.
Bronze and steel.
Measures: 65 cm (length, each).
In the steel sheet have the legend “FABca of Toledo”, in reference to the creation of the same in this city, known since medieval times for its good work with steel and other metals and for the quality of its productions.
At the top of the fist of the hand grip, an item appears that allows you to attach these parts to the Artillery corps of the Spanish Navy: it is a pump that comes out fire, an element already present in this type of weapons in the NINETEENTH century, and which is also found on the Flag of the Battalion of naval Artillery used between 1748 and 1808.
The lack of decorative elements, notable in the pieces indicates that they were not of a high command of this body.
