The simple and lightweight tunic is composed by the vivid colors of red and yellow, which represent balance and blessing, respectively, according to the buddhist teachings. The buddha holds in his hand a leaf of the tree of Bodhi, this is the tree under which the historical buddha achieved enlightenment. It seems to be levitating above the rock on which he meditates, like an awakening that involves a state of mental calmness, that is what gives us this figure. Buddhism teaches that any person can get an innate potential to get to experience the nirvana.
