The engine is a vertical cylinder of this FN Standard cubic 350 cc. The power of the machine is done with a system of magneto-dynamo, and it has an engine very reliable. Tuition historical.
The FN or Fabrique Nationale of Herstal was a belgian company established in 1899, of weapons and ammunition. From 1901 to 1967 was also a motorcycle manufacturer: responsible for the first motorcycle of four cylinders in the world, known for its employment of paliers in all the models that were created from 1903 until 1923, etc
Survived the difficulties that the lack of suppliers caused after the First World War, and also to the changes brought about by the Second. For this last, a model was created of tri-car, and, after this last, for example, was common the use of motors germans in some models, and the tri-car was released to allow for civil use (the Tri-car T-8, etc).
The work of the company in the research and care in the quality of their models bore fruit: in motocross, the success came hand in hand with riders like Mingels, Leloup, etc; or of racers associated with FN as Kicken, Flintermann, Lempereur, Milhoux Rene, etc however, the production ceased in 1966 and the last bike FN came out of the factory in may of 1967.
The last attempt of FN was made between 1962 and 1967, to take out two models of 75 cc. (a scooter and a bike), last models made by the brand. Which made up the lot, because it shows the experience and the know-how of the firm. In addition, stands out for its excellent state of conservation.
