APPRECIATIONS: painting is in an acceptable state with any diaper. Seat with original upholstery, good condition. Chrome in a low state, pitted and worn in parts directly exposed to the wind. Shifters original. Tires in good condition. A hydraulic suspension.

Clúa was a Catalan brand of motorcycles and microcar , manufactured by the company Constructs Mechanical Clúa SL in Barcelona between 1949 and 1962 . The company, owned by Joan Clúa and Maluquer, had its headquarters at number 6, Avenue de Pau Casals, at that time called Avenida General Goded. Clúa manufactured its first motorcycle model, the MC-75, 1951 and left the sector eleven years later, after having to demonstrate agility and innovation, while often of his times, adapting to the latest technical solutions that appeared. Its range was the most complete of the time (50, 75, 125 and 175 cc ), complete with tricycles. The 1955 began the production microcar in version sport.

Motorcycles

The features of the MC-75 were: Engine single cylinder , two-stroke to 3.25 HP at 5,800 rpm , piston with deflector gases, aluminum cylinder head and cast iron cylinder grafitada in alloy chromium-nickel; power supply through the carburetor constant level and automatic regulation. Mix to 6% in gasoline;the change of three speeds with remote control in hand;the frame of the cradle, simple tubes made of steel; front suspension by telescopic fork of great advancement and subsequent telescopic twin with coil springs, slanted in direction of travel. Tank of 8 litres, consumption of 2 liters per 100 km maximum Speed: 70 km / h .

The following year this model was modified, starting with the fork with shorter travel and more stability, color change and new engine in its interior, with four vents and a piston plane; compression to 7.2: 1 and power 4 HP at 5,500 rpm, clutch single disk and the front fork is complemented with action hydraulics. Maximum speed: 65 km / h.

1953 the range was extended with the model of 125 cc, equipped with the new engine Hispano Villiers single cylinder , two-stroke power of 6.5 HP, aluminum cylinder head, piston flat head and feed carburetor Hispano Villiers. Mix gasoline and oil at 16% ignition flywheel magnet; transmission through clutch in two plates with studs cork in an oil bath and a change of three speeds, with a remote on the foot; weight: 80 kg; consumption: 2.5 l per 100 km; maximum speed: 80 km / h.

The previous model was manufactured until 1958 , but the 1954 edition was supplemented by the version "125-Rapita", identical to the above but with a proprietary engine, single-cylinder , two-stroke 123,5 cc, mix for oil to 8%, change of three speeds; maximum speed: 90 km / h; consumption: 2.5 l. every 100 km; fuel tank capacity: 14 l.

The model 74 cc was introduced in 1957 and it would be the last that this brand would take the market: engine with compression 7: 1, with 3 HP at 6,500 rpm. Mix the 9% ignition flywheel magnet with height adjustment 4 mm . Change three-speed with remote control at the foot; front suspension rod thrust and rear oscillating fork; maximum speed: 70 km / h.
